How to Configure Your Email Account for SMTP Authentication in Outlook Express 5.x / 6.x

Start Outlook Express by clicking on the icon.

From the Tools menu, choose Accounts.

Click on the Mail tab, and select your email account in the Account
list and click on Properties button.

Click on the Servers tab.

Check the "My server requires authentication" box, and click on the Settings button.
- Choose "Use same settings as my incoming mail server" option; click OK.
- Save these settings, and you are all set!
